Description: Valley of the Eagles Golf Course and Event Center in Elyria, OH is excited to announce the exceptional career opportunity of Assistant Golf Course Superintendent. Qualified candidates will thrive in a hospitality environment and be highly focused on providing superior experiences to our guests. Key Responsibilities:
- Supervising and assisting the Agronomy staff in daily operation.
- Working with the Equipment Technician on operator training and equipment maintenance programs.
- Working with the Course Superintendent to ensure annual budget and capital plans are maintained and achieved.
- Working with the Course Superintendent in developing and implementing an annual agronomic plan.
Qualifications: Qualifications are negotiable, but in general they include: -A certificate, or a two or four year degree, in Turfgrass Management, Golf Course Management, or an industry related field.
- A valid drivers license.
- Currently possessing or being able to obtain a Cat 8(Turf) OH Commercial Pesticide License within 180 days.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role, or equivalent education and experience.
- Irrigation and pesticide application experience.
- Strong experience managing personnel and crew operations.
