Description: The Country Club of Hudson is seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join our team as an Assistant-in-Training (AIT) / 2nd Assistant Superintendent. This position plays a critical role in maintaining the high standards of our greens and grounds. 

We are looking for someone who has a strong passion for the golf industry, brings a positive, can-do attitude to work each day, communicates effectively, and is willing to do whatever it takes to provide exceptional course conditions. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Daily mowing of all playing surfaces using walk-behind and riding units 
• Water management, including hand watering and Toro Lynx sprinkler setup 
• Fertilizer and chemical applications with proper calibration and techniques 
• Daily course setup, including hole and tee locations 
• Cultural practices such as topdressing, aerification, and other agronomic programs 
• Irrigation system maintenance, including head repairs, pipe repairs, and troubleshooting wiring issues 
• Small crew leadership and task delegation 
• Participation in capital improvement projects (bunker renovations, tree work, tee construction, etc.) 
• USGA GS3 ball data collection 
• Exposure to budgeting discussions and financial planning 
• Personalized, hands-on learning experience 

Education & Qualifications: 

• Currently enrolled in or graduated from a 2- or 4-year Turf Management program, turf certificate program, related degree/certificate, or equivalent work experience 
• Willingness to pursue further education if needed 

Requirements: 

• Turf experience preferred but not required - we are willing to train the right individual 
• Must have or be willing to obtain an Ohio Pesticide Applicator License
