If you would like to become a NOGCSA member, you can fill out the access form below and submit or download, fill out, and mail the form to the address provided on the application. We will then review your application and invoice you for the dues.

| Class A | Details Class A Golf Course Superintendent Members: To qualify for a Class A membership, an applicant shall, at the time of application for membership, have at least three (3) years experience as a golf course superintendent, be employed in such capacity and comply with all additional qualifications adopted by the membership. | Superintendent Member | Details Superintendent Member Golf Course Superintendent - To qualify for Superintendent Member membership, an applicant shall, at the time of application, be employed as a golf course superintendent and may not meet the qualifications for Class A membership. | Class C | Details Class C Assistant Golf Course Superintendent: To qualify for Class C, Membership, an applicant shall, at the time of application for membership, be an assistant to a golf course superintendent, and shall be presently employed in such capacity. | Commercial Affiliate | Details Commercial Affiliate To qualify for Affiliate Membership, an applicant must be an individual business firm, governmental body or a person interested in the growing, management or production of turfgrass, either individually or through employment by, or other affiliation with, a company, proprietorship or association, who does not qualify for membership in another class. Affiliate Members shall have all the privileges of the Association, except those of voting and holding office.Affiliate Commercial Members are those members who are employed by companies that conduct business with the golf course industry.

| Non-Commercial Affiliate | Details Non-Commercial Affiliate To qualify for Affiliate Membership, an applicant must be an individual business firm, governmental body or a person interested in the growing, management or production of turfgrass, either individually or through employment by, or other affiliation with, a company, proprietorship or association, who does not qualify for membership in another class. Affiliate Members shall have all the privileges of the Association, except those of voting and holding office. | Associate | Details Associate To qualify for Associate Membership, an applicant shall, at the time of application for membership, have less than one (1) year experience as a golf course superintendent, or less than three (3) years as assistant to a golf course superintendent and shall be presently employed in either of the above capacities. Employment by a golf course superintendent shall also qualify individuals for Associate Membership. Associate Members shall have all the privileges of the Association, except those of voting and holding office. | $90.00 | Sign Up |
| Retired | Details Retired Any Class A, Superintendent Member, Associate or Affiliate Member reaching age fifty-five (55), who is retired and no longer seeking employment within the scope of activities of any membership class of this Association, may apply to the Board of Trustees in writing for Retired Membership. A Retired Member shall have all of the privileges of the Association afforded the member in his or her immediate previous classification, with the exception of holding office.

| Honorary | Details Honorary To qualify for Honorary Membership, the individual must be recognized annually by the Board of Trustees for contributing in an outstanding manner to this Association or profession or related field. Honorary Members shall not be required to pay dues or assessments of the Association and shall have such privileges of the Association as the Board of Trustees may specify from time to time by Standing Rules, except those of voting and holding office.

| Educator | Details Educator A educator membership is available to those facilities that operate with limited resources. The membership is in the name of the facility. However, the recipient of the membership benefits and information can be the superintendent, owner, or other representative selected by a golf facility. Membership dues deadline: March 1
Member application and approval process: After completing application, two class A members must attest prior to board approval. If elected membership, dues are paid according to classification.

Activities with chapter meetings: January -- Bowling, February -- Shop Tours, March -- Educational meeting, April through October -- Golf and Educational meeting, November -- Educational meeting and December -- Annual meeting and election of officers.

Employment referral service: Free listings sent to all members at no charge; however, there is a charge for clubs requesting assistance in acquiring a superintendent.

Educational seminars hosted: All golfing meetings include educational speakers and off season the association usually puts on one program per year, then off season through the National we co-host one or two programs per year.

Scholarships offered: The Northern Ohio Golf Course Superintendents Association is a non-profit association that will offer educational aid to an eligible recipient or recipients as funding is available, under the direction of the Board of Trustees of the NOGCSA, to students majoring in Turfgrass Management and who are planning a career as a Golf Course Superintendent. Five members of the NOGCSA Scholarship Committee will evaluate each applicant on academics, need, work history, and commitment to profession. To be eligible, the student must be currently enrolled in a college turfgrass management program at an accredited institution of higher learning prior to completing their last year. Their work history should include at least one summer's employment under the supervision of a NOGCSA member superintendent. The employment time frame should coincide with the student's college attendance. Deadline for application is November 1, by postmark, for the next beginning year. Students must complete and submit the application and supply official transcripts from all universities attended and high school. Scholarship applications are available through the NOGCSA. Applicants are evaluated based on criteria without regard to race, sex, age or national origin.
