Second Assistant Superintendent

Hawthorne Valley Country Club is a 18 hole public golf course that opened in 1926. Designed by Donald Ross, Hawthorne Valley C.C.measures 6340 yards from the lomgest tees and has an 71.1 USGA rating. The course has 3 sets of tees for different skill levels. Greens , Tees, and Fairways are a poa-bentgrass mixture.

We are currently looking for a second assistant superintendent who will work closely with the superintendent and 1st assistant in all aspects of turf maintenanc e and management in the daily operation of the golf course.

Duties:

Fertilizer/Pesticide Applications
Crew Supervision
Scheduling, budgeting, and record keeping
Equipment maintenance
Qualifications

This position is a full-time, year round position

  • Must be a graduate of a 2 or 4 yaer program in Turfgrass Mgmt. or related field with an Ohio Pesticide Applicators license .
  • In addition, experience as a golf course supervisor, or 2 to 3 years experience on a golf course with formal educationas stated, is required.
  • Must possess a valid drvers license and a clean driving record.
